Meet String & Stencil

We’re Ronnie and Angelica, two Tucson sisters who fell in love with the magic of simple materials – wood, nails, string – and how they can be transformed into something that makes a room (and a person) light up.

In 2016, what started as a weekend hobby of string art and painted wood signs turned into String & Stencil, our little desert-inspired art studio. Since then we’ve been hand-making string and nail art for homes, nurseries, galleries, markets, and gift-givers all over.

Desert-inspired, sister-made

Growing up in Arizona, the desert has always been our backdrop – saguaros, sunsets, big skies, and that “home is where the heat is” feeling. You’ll see that in our work: cactus silhouettes, Arizona state shapes, blooming succulents, hearts, butterflies, and custom pieces that celebrate the people and places you love.
